A quaint tale of a boy and his dog.

Believe it or not, this video is testament to one of Brandon's developmental milestones! He has interacted with Indie. To you and I, what is the big deal? A kid sitting on the ground and touching a dog, pulling her tail- whoopee!! But this is a child who is renown for living in his own world resisting the sensations of touch; that is until Indie. It began with Brandon tentatively reaching out his hand to lightly touch Indie's paw to now actually allowing Indie to sleep next to him at night on his bed. Brandon allows Indie to lick his feet and although you may think- yuk! This can be part of Brandon's sensory diet; massage assists his neurons to calm down just as petting a dog can. Once again, it was Indie's choice to sleep in Brandon's room and both were happy and calm with the decision and then I found, Indie happily sleeping next to Brandon on his bed. Both slept all night, so I assume all must be well!
